How do we work?
1. Plan your visit
Visit Systimber and experience the system for yourself; see, hear and feel the difference compared with other building systems, and discover the extensive possibilities it offers for your project.
4. Technical execution plan
After approval of the quotation, the project manager will immediately take action and organise a first virtual meeting via Teams. During this session, all final details, such as electricity, supply and drainage, will be discussed thoroughly. He will then draw up the final plans, which will be submitted to you for approval.
2. Design meeting with architect
Work together with our architect to bring your bespoke dream design to life, taking your specific wishes and budget into account to create a perfectly fitting solution.
5. Production
After approval of the execution plans, the project manager will take all the necessary steps to prepare production, so that your building kit can be assembled accurately and on time.
3. Approval of quotation
As soon as we receive your approval, we get started straight away and assign a project manager who will guide you throughout the entire process, so you always have a reliable point of contact to support and advise you.
6. Assembly & enjoy!
After a carefully managed process of around 12 weeks on average, everything is prepared for installation. The timber construction kit is then delivered, and our skilled fitters enthusiastically begin bringing your project to life. After around 3 to 5 days — or about 2 weeks for a house — the building is ready for use or further finishing.

This circular building system is based on solid timber beams with a patented row of drilled holes (the “grid”), which are connected quickly and without waste using simple spacers. The result: demountable floor, wall and roof panels that are reusable, insulating and immediately finished.

Anchoring
Fixing the solid timber Systimber wall beams to the ground using a simple angle bracket.
Tensioning
Using Systimber spacers, the beams are connected in a dimensionally stable way. The solid timber block structure takes shape very quickly.
Airtight and watertight
Concealed double Systimber EPDM seals absorb all tolerances. This timber construction system results in a complete seal.
Self-supporting solid timber construction
The Systimber timber construction system creates load-bearing wall, floor and roof panels with unlimited dimensions.
Planning permissions and EPC requirements
What about planning permission or EPC requirements for an outbuilding?
Curious about the legal or regulatory requirements for your outbuilding? The first question to ask yourself is: do I want an outbuilding smaller or larger than 40 m², and are there already other detached outbuildings on my plot? This determines whether it concerns a notification (under 40 m²) or a planning permit, as well as which EPC obligations apply to the project.
Advice and documentation for your application
Our Systimber advisers are familiar with the applicable legislation for outbuildings — larger or smaller than 40 m² — in Flanders, Brussels or Wallonia, and will be happy to advise you.
It is important to visit your local council to request the local building regulations: ridge height (3.5 m), distance from the neighbour (2 m), outbuilding in the front garden, notification or planning permission, and so on.
Once the design has been finalised, you will receive the necessary plans and documentation to submit the notification or application.
